Recommendations/ Questions: In their research and resolutions, delegates must address the following:
1. What role could the World Bank play in the fight against income inequality? What role could other agencies and actors play? How can their efforts be coordinated?
2. What are the achievements and obstacles in eradicating poverty?
3. What effects does income inequality have on ensuring human rights in democracies?
4. How has your country responded to past economic crises? What lessons can be learned from those experiences?
5. What obligations do governments have to their own citizens to ensure income inequality? If they do have an obligation, what can they do? If not, why not? What about the fact that government themselves are usually staffed by wealthy people in
a country?
6. What role does micro financing and community development banking have in helping reform unequal financial structures? How can other solutions, like investing in human capital, work on a grassroots level to enact change? Are there other ideas that should be considered?
